The Cottage: At the south end of the property near the entrance is a detached separate 2nd story guest house consisting of 994 square feet of air-conditioned living area with 1 bedroom + den and loft/1 bath. On your return from the beach, shower off in the new outdoor lava rock hot & cold shower.
The cottage may be rented separately or along with the main home. The location is very private and cozy, exquisitely furnished, and fully appointed. There are ocean views from the cottage. Here you can experience the casual Hawaiian elegance that typifies the spirit of Kaua'i.

Be advised that ocean conditions can be unpredictable and unsuitable for swimming at times. Please use cautionary discretion when entering the ocean at any location on the island. We recommend swimming only at lifeguarded beaches.

The house is very clean and well equipped and even the Murphy bed in the den is comfortable. Some things that folks should know - all the rooms have pocket doors so there is not much sound proofing between rooms. The washer dryer worked great and were very helpful. Its the tropics, so ants can be an issue but if you put ALL your food in the fridge, they go away.
Finally, it is a little ways to a grocery store so stop on your way to the house.
